FlightBag: Pilot Weather & Tools
FlightBag is a comprehensive tool designed for pilots, offering a range of essential features to enhance flight planning and navigation. The app provides access to METAR, TAF, runway, and station information, along with significant weather charts, synoptic surface pressure charts, wind and temperature charts, and satellite images. Pilots can explore a world map with all airports, waypoints, VOR's, and NDB's in Europe, with the European region available for offline download. Additionally, the app includes sunrise and sunset times, a converter for aviation units, live UTC clock, and local time for all airports.
The Flight Weather Page allows users to select departure, destination, and alternate airports, providing key details like METAR, TAF, runway information, and elevation. The Enroute Weather Page downloads METAR and TAF for all airports within 100nm of the route, with the option to extend the range. Offline access to weather charts and a map page with downloadable European region data further enhance the app's utility for pilots.
